The prompt this week is to show shadows…
The sun streaming thru this store window and the words on the outside of the window were shadowed on the frame inside the store.
The prompt this week is to show solitude.
This statue of a lion sleeping in one of the gardens at the Frelinghuysen Arboretum in Morris Township, New Jersey made me feel a sense of solitude.

The prompt this week is to show something that has been repurposed.
The prompt this week is to share something graceful and I can’t think of anything more graceful than our beautiful American flag blowing in a gentle breeze.
One definition of ambience is…noun 1.the atmosphere of a place.
I like the ambience created by this chandelier and three wall sconces.
I simply like this picture, it seems serene.

The prompt: This week, share a photo that includes a name. When you stop and look around, you realize that we’re surrounded by names: street signs, name tags, vanity license plates, boat names, brand names, the spines of the books on your shelf… there are possibilities everywhere.
Look for something esoteric, or keep it close to home with a photo of a building that’s important to you or of your favorite person wearing a monogrammed sweater. Whatever you choose, make sure we can read the name!
The ferry Martha’s Vineyard which travels back and forth from Martha’s Vineyard to Woods Hole, MA. I love these ships as they’ve taken me all my life to my favorite place.

The prompt: This week, we’re challenging you to think ahead and show your work in a representative photo. If you set New Year’s resolutions, give them some thought a few weeks early. If resolutions aren’t your style, show us something that you want to achieve — it could be setting a new goal, making plans, or even tackling that pile of laundry waiting by the washer. The goal is to get out of the busy “now,” and imagine your new horizon. Go!
I enjoy coloring, have for many years even before it was trendy :) I find it relaxing and creative and lately the pictures I’ve been coloring are of an optimistic nature. I did a calendar of them for 2017. Below are three of my many favorites.
The prompt this week is to make time to just relax. Christmas decorations are up and the tree is trimmed and it is time to relax for a bit.
The prompt is: In this week’s challenge, show us tiny. Capture something at a smaller scale. Create your own miniature scene. You can also interpret the theme in other ways by capturing your favorite tiny things — from your baby’s hands to belongings that are special to you — or documenting a small, quiet moment in your day.
These miniature books were my father’s and are probably more than 80 years old. They measure 1 1/2 x 2 inches and are leather covered.
The William Shakespeare book is 760 pages long.
The prompt is : “transmogrify,” which means, “to change in appearance or form, especially strangely or grotesquely; transform.” This week, your theme is transmogrify. Transform. Morph. Change. Show us something already transformed, on the cusp of transformation.
