Flopsy, Mopsy, Cottontail, and… Ricky?

IMG_0250 IMG_0251

I’m currently spinning some lovely angora from a rabbit named Ricky. This will hopefully become part of a hat for one of the librarians I help out a couple mornings a week at my local library. I’ll ply this with a couple strands of cormo before I am done.

I finished up the purple angora and I’m ready to ply. I’m combining the %100 angora (grapey purple), angora/wool blend (blue purple) and corriedale (grey) into a 3-ply yarn which may or may not get overdyed purple after it’s been plied.

I’ve been steadily plying yarn this week . Pictured above is the skein from the Romney rainbow batt, the Spunky Electic merino/angora in Juniper, and another skein of BFL/alpaca to add to the growing pile.
