What is guaranteed to distract you? What is your “Ooh, shiny!”?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I didn’t know what to do for ‘Shiny’ and then today my daughter and I took a ride to Jersey City, NJ to have coffee and enjoy the view. Talk about shiny. The shiny glass buildings reflecting the sky and other buildings, definitely shiny.
From glass bottles in Edison’s workshop in NJ, to copper pots in Newport, RI, to boats in the harbor at Plymouth, MA, to chairs in the Tabernacle on MV, to a display of peppers, to bikes in New York City, to grapes in a vineyard in Cape May, New Jersey. These are my choices for … order .
Evanescent can be any fleeting moment in time and sunsets certainly qualify as such.
Martha’s Vineyard – October 2013.
New York harbor – October 2009
The prompt: You can find similar reflections and changes in perspective just about anywhere. From water and glass to metallic surfaces, share a photo that captures something reflected back to you in a way that made you look at your surroundings differently.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
From a log in a river, to the Chrysler Building in NYC, to a restaurant in NJ, to a mirror reflecting a mirror reflecting a window, to docks on Martha’s Vineyard… these are my selections for ‘reflecting.’

The prompt is : This week, share your take on “dense” — you could focus on a natural landscape, or take the theme in a different direction, from a crowd at a rock concert or a busy avenue during rush hour to a fresh loaf of bread, waiting for someone to take the first bite.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I was going to try and stay away from fog, trees, flowers, food, cities but you know what, that’s where all the density seems to be. So from boats in a dense fog, to a house covered in lilacs, to the skyline of New York City, to chocolate cake and candy, to the dense colors of freshly spun yarn, and to the density of a sunflower, , here are my choices.
Through Jersey Eyes blog will be ending sometime soon so this is my last post.You can still follow me however on my blog WWW.MVOBSESSION.COM (click here)
I have enjoyed the past 8 years of sharing my photographs and want to thank all who have followed me, I really appreciate it.
And so the sun sets on Through Jersey Eyes.
Although it is not a bitter end for this blog I thought a photograph of the Bitter End nightclub that was in New York City for many years would be appropriate
