Weekly Photo Challenge: Serene…

The prompt was to share a photo that means serene to you.  I’m sharing two because they both represent serenity to me.  Both taken in October on Martha’s Vineyard standing pretty much in the same spot near the Edgartown Lighthouse.

October On The Vineyard, Part I …

October is speeding along too quickly and if I’m doing posts about October on Martha’s Vineyard I’d better get going on them.

I was lucky enough to spend 5 glorious days on the Vineyard with my daughter Deb and our friend and honorary family member, Dawn.   We packed a lot into the days we were there including meeting a new step-cousin and visiting with a dear friend as well.

In this first post let’s visit the

Hope you enjoyed this autumn walk through the Campground.

Stay tuned for upcoming exciting, fun-filled and picturesque adventures. 🙂

This is early morning on Martha’s Vineyard.  The sun peeking through the trees creating a glowing splash on the grass.

October On Martha’s Vineyard…

100_4849

October is, in my opinion one of the most spectacular months of the year.

No place is better for experiencing it than on Martha’s Vineyard.

Nature provides a fiery display of color in October, the greens and vivid colors of summer have been replaced with the rusts and orange hues of autumn.

The Vineyard is a beautiful place to visit in the fall … there are plenty of activities to take part in or just relax and enjoy the cool, crisp, beautiful month of October.

Here comes October……

I’ve also enjoyed the pedestrian walkway at Walkway Over The Hudson in Poughkeepsie, New York, which is the world’s longest elevated pedestrian bridge.

10th Blogiversary…

imageedit_68_9630010697

 On Wednesday, October 5th, 2017 MV Obsession will be 10 years old. TEN. Ten years of obsession about the place that I love most in the world, that’s a lot of obsessing. There have been almost 1,050 posts and it all began with these words…

Hi, my name is Joan and I’m a Vineyard-a-holic…

Weekly Photo Challenge: Windows…

Prompt: Your inspiration this week is windows. Use a window to frame your shot, use a window to give structure to your photo, or make a window itself your subject.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Windows, windows, windows and more windows…
From NYC skyscraper windows, to windows inside a lighthouse, to the porthole window on a ship, to my daughter’s eyes, to the light streaming through a window in St Patrick’s Cathedral in NYC, to the reflection of the sky in the back window of my car… these are my window choices.
