Location Location Location

btt button

In real estate, it’s all about location, location, location. But how about books? Does where a book is set affect your reading choices? Are you more or less likely to read books set in places you know or love?

Don’t forget to leave a link to your actual response (so people don’t have to go searching for it) in the comments—or if you prefer, leave your answers in the comments themselves!

Writing

Readers read, it’s true, but they write? Do you? Write, that is?

Mind-Blowing

btt button

What’s the most mind-blowing, world-changing book you’ve ever read? (Or article, poem, whatever.)

And also–don’t forget, folks–sometimes WordPress’s spam filter seems to decide that a lot of perfectly valid answers are spam. I periodically check throughout the day for lost comments. But, PLEASE–if your comment doesn’t show, don’t post it four more times in the hopes that one of them will go through. I get very, very tired trying to sort out the duplicates (grin).

Database

btt button

Do you keep a database of your book collection anywhere? An online website? An excel spreadsheet? A handwritten paper journal?

Chappy

Today would have been my dearly loved Boykin Spaniel Chappy’s 15th birthday, except I lost him in April.

Tell me something to cheer me up? Suggest something to read? A good joke? A heart-warming story?

What do you read when you need to cheer yourself up?

(And, please, no ‘Rainbow Bridge’ poems because I find them beyond depressing–I don’t want my dog waiting this side of heaven until I catch up. I want him romping and having fun IN heaven, as long as he comes to greet me when I get there.)

Quantity

btt button

Do you own fewer books than you used to? More?

Or do you find the quantity in your library stays pretty much the same from year to year?

(And yes, digital and audio books DO count.)

Weeding 2
